My Project

At our school, we love celebrating our students- whether it's their birthday, positive behavior, test score, or classwork improvements, we celebrate them! We would like to begin a weekly or monthly book raffle for our staff and students to receive a new book! This is one of the many ways we hope to increase morale and positive behavior in our otters.

Reading has always been and will always be one of the strongest ways we grow our intellect, compassion, and ability to understand others' perspectives.

We began this project in January of 2024 and would like to continue for the 26-27 school year. Here's why- I'd like to share a personal story. When my daughter was in 2nd grade, she won one of our "book talk" books. Her librarian mama has told her FOR YEARS to try the Ivy and Bean series with no luck. When the first book went out for book talk, she devoured it in one day! If the librarian's kid is trying (and loving!) new books, we've reached some kind of reading gold.
