Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are faced with many challenges both in and out of the classroom. Yet, despite these obstacles, I genuinely believe they love to come to school. For some students, this is a chance to socialize, while for others, it's the only structured safe place in their life. Every student is different and has different needs, and I'm looking forward to addressing all the challenges that come with a new class. I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with a creative and meaningful learning experience. Help me build a solid classroom environment that our students will remember forever. We need an environment where they can learn and thrive! Together, we can achieve this!
My Project
Hey, everyone. Thanks for visiting our page! I am requesting the very popular and age appropriate Osmo coding kits. These kits are amazing, and they have integrated both math and reading to help kits learn coding. To be honest, I know little about coding, but I want the best for my students and know that coding is a valuable skill that they should learn. There are many elementary coding kits and books available, and I want to bring these resources to our classroom.
Some of the resources I am requesting as the basic Osmo starter kits, along with 3 Osmo add-ons.
These are great interactive coding kits that can authentically teach foundational skills of coding. These 3 kits will allow up to 7 students to participate in coding at one time. Math and reading are integrated into these coding activities. That will allow me to use coding as a math or reading center. How amazing is that?
I am also requesting so good ol' coding books. I have students who love to read, so why not provide them coding literature to read at their leisure? With your help, my students and others around my campus will have the ability to learn to code. I am so excited to allow them this opportunity.
