The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly how everything be used! The math books (Perimeter, Area, and Volume: A Monster Book of Dimensions, The Greedy Triangle, If You Were a Quadrilateral ) will be used as an intro to the math concepts that are being taught. Fractions have continuously been a hard concept for my students to grasp and this year I want to try more project based learning. With each student having their own set of manipulatives,B uilding Fractions Activity Center and Fractions & Decimals Extra Student Pack. they can have a hands-on- activity. These manipulative will be used in learning centered while I provide explicit instruction to groups during class. We all can agree that reading is uber important! The books I am requesting, The Witches and Fantastic Mr. Fox will be class set's, so we can do guiding reading. Students are more invested in learning when the topics are interesting! Therefor I want to add fun, entertaining books that are grade level appropriate to our group study, partner-reading center. To do these activities every student needs a copy. The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding of and competency in authentic, meaningful learning. Thank you!!
