Communication and hard work help my students and I achieve more. I want to do all I can as a teacher to provide the best tools to help them be successful in our classroom.
Having our own technology to use in our classroom is a great way to build responsibility, independence and to grow as learners.
My Project
Technology can be a great tool for learning when used appropriately. I was fortunate enough to secure iPads for my classroom and they have been an invaluable resource. I would love to gets some more tools to use this technology more effectively. Osmo kits are one way we can do this. They are wonderful, because instead of staring at a screen, students are actively involved in learning. I want to see this technology used in a way that it will enhance
My goal with technology is to use it as a tool to enhance learning, and Osmo kits bring a tactile component to technology.
The Osmo kits will allow the students to interact with iPads in a more meaningful way. I plan on using the Osmo kits in Literacy and Math. My students will work collaboratively doing word work activities to build their reading and writing skills. Later in the school day, students can then use the interactive tool to practice math addition and subtraction problems during Math centers. The tangrams included inteh set will be a valuable addition to critical thinking and geometry lessons. Please help me bring these wonderful tools to my students!
