Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are enthusiastic about learning but need some extra assistance with learning. Most of my students have learning disabilities and struggle with reading and math. I am always trying to enhance their engagement which hopefully enhancing their ability to learn. Allowing them to learn in different modalities. Many of the students have a hard time maintaining their focus during the school day. My students are included with the general education classroom but struggle with the day to day assignments given.

My Project

Osmo Kits will help my students to build and develop skills in areas of word work, math, STEM. This will allow my students to reinforce math and reading skills that have been taught in the classroom in a fun and engaging way. This opportunity will provide my students who have disabilities but are in an inclusion setting provide extra assistance to learn math facts and reading skills to meet their needs. In my school we are fortunate to be a 1:1 Ipad and we incorporate a blended learning model in all of our classrooms so have an Osmo Kit would allow for an opportunity to individualize a rotation in the classroom to meet the needs of all of the learners.
