This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Last year, my Creative Writing students had the best Oscar's ceremony, thanks to Donors Choose! This year we are funding to make this year's ceremony better than ever! My Creative Writing students will spend the better half of this year working on crafting and perfecting film scripts that they can use to turn into short films. They have worked tooth and nail to bring their vibrant stories to life and deserve the ceremony of their dreams!

My students do not have the means to otherwise access the items requested, and it is a great joy to present them with covetable prizes for their hard work and dedication to the art of writing.

My Creative Writing students will be hosting an Oscars Ceremony for their films, where they will be applauded and rewarded for their hard work and diligence this year!

I plan to surprise my students with miniature Oscars trophies and goodie bags for all their efforts in cultivating moving and inspiring film projects. These cool gifts and gadgets will be handed out to students who win individual awards categories. Please help make our Oscars dreams come true.
