Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our GT students have been enjoying our Ornithology unit this year. They have learned about bird life cycles, bird adaptations, migration patterns, and conservation. We have added a bird watching log and bird cam log activity to our unit but we do not have binoculars. We have also looked into bird diets and would love to dissect owl pellets.

Your donation will give our students highly needed STEM materials like binoculars for their bird watching log and owl pellet dissection kits to learn more about an owl's diet so they can bring their learning to life.

These highly engaging activities will support the learning we have been doing in class but will also make these learning experiences memorable and inspiring.

With your support, we can give these students a deeper understanding of the needs of birds and ideas for conservation efforts that they can help with. The objective of this unit is to inspire students to learn more about birds and ways to help them while also encouraging future careers in ornithology.
