Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school is a diverse one filled with passionate students, families, and staff. It is a school-wide Title I school that supports and develops an average of 400 students.
The school is made up of a diverse group of students from different languages and backgrounds.
This diversity makes our school a unique place to learn and work.
Our mission is to pursue knowledge, strive for excellence, and to model an attitude of contribution and gratitude, both individually and as a community.
My Project
Kindergarten is the first year for many students. This is the year that they learn how to read, write, and do math. But one of the other things that they learn is how to behave within a classroom setting. These behaviors and skills will help them grow as they continue onto 1st grade.
Organization is a key skill that my Kindergarteners learn during the year.
Knowing where things are and where things should go is something that we are always working on throughout the year. The work organizer would give my students a sense of ownership for their work and projects that they do on a daily basis.
