This not only supports students learning because excessive use of fluorescent lights can cause light sensitivity and eye strain, but it also gives them a calm environment, which leads to accepting more challenges.\r\nIn addition, the purchase of the chairs has reduced the amount of transition time it takes to begin small groups. Here in our classroom we love to create while at play. \r\n We recently learned about Native Americans during the week before Thanksgiving. Students learned about how they lived (building homes , hunting, making toys, tools and clothes) from natural resources. My student's created dolls made from yucca plants to using our new classroom paint to create a mural for our research project (seen in image) at our thanksgiving feast.\r\n Engaging kindergarten era has been a lot of fun. Students are busy learning how to read and write along with how to add and subtract all week long!
