My students need storage bins and organizers to keep our research projects neat and orderly.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Teaching organization is an important life skill. My students need to share the classroom with 22 children, so staying organized is extra important!
My students are an inquisitive group of second graders that are excited to learn!
My second grade classroom is located in an urban community with the vast majority of students qualifying for free or reduced lunches. We have a diverse community of students with a high number of English Language Learners. As with many California districts, our school is facing budget cuts making it difficult to provide these students with the supplies they deserve.
My Project
I am requesting storage bins for the children so that each research group can have its own space. I would also like to better organize their research supplies so that children can spend more time letting their imagination fly and less time trying to find materials. The storage trays will keep completed work organized and safe. The alphabet dividers will keep leveled work organized!
Igniting a passion for learning at a young age will stick with these students forever.
I am fortunate to have a classroom of emerging learners that I can introduce to the wonderful world of education and organization!
