Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Each school year our students engage in 6-8 units of study which come with a lot of materials for them to explore. Unfortunately, in a classroom with very little storage space, often materials have to be discarded at the end of the study because there is no where to store them. That of course means I have to try to reacquire materials again the next year or my students just have to go without.

These storage containers would maximize the resources I can provide for my students which in turn will maximize their learning.

I will be able to store all of the unit materials in the bin, labeled with the unit of study so my students have access to them each year. This will maximize the materials I will be able to provide to students while easily storing them away until they are needed again. We have a clothing unit of where I will be able to store specialized clothing pieces. For our building unit of study, I will be able to store our tools, construction outfits, and variety of building materials.
