Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The new bins will completely transform our classroom library from a cluttered stack of books into a vibrant, student-centered reading hub. By utilizing a color-coded system, we will categorize our collection into intuitive genres and reading levels, making the library visually engaging and easy to navigate. Each bin will be assigned a specific, bright color that corresponds to a matching label on the book’s spine, allowing even our youngest readers to find their favorite stories and return them to the correct home with total independence.

Beyond just looking beautiful, this organized setup is designed to foster a sense of ownership and respect for our shared resources.

Each bin will feature a clear, high-contrast label with both text and a representative icon, ensuring that our English Language Learners and emerging readers can identify topics. This streamlined, colorful approach will minimize the time spent searching for books and maximize the time students spend actually reading, turning our library into the most inviting corner of the classroom.
