Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students have grown up in an inner-city; many of these children face poverty, violence, and obscenities of life on a daily basis that are well beyond what most of us could imagine. Despite all of this, they come to school ready to expand their minds and continue to explore. I want to make my classroom the best it can be - I am looking to add a moveable book cart to the front of the classroom so that I am able to move the books around the room more freely.

Our space is too confining, and we do not have a lot of space we need to be able to move books out of the way and make the space more inviting for children to work in the area; my students continue to be hopeful and strive for their very best even though some have not had a real start to their schooling; student desks are very small and they need extra storage so a rolling cart for our leveled books would bring more flexibility.
