Organizing AVID Middle School Scholars for Success!!
Help me give my students organizational tools to maximize their learning and keep them on-track for success! Each student will receive a 3-subject notebook and 1" inch binder to organize their notes & learning in AVID!
As an AVID Elective Teacher in a Title 1 middle school, everything I do is to guide my students toward AVID's mission... "closing the opportunity gap by preparing ALL students for college and career readiness and success in a global society. Organizing both physical materials and thinking are key components of my AVID classroom, and just so happen to be a monumental struggle for most middle school students!! (IYKYK!)

My students work hard & have potential for greatness, but they don't always have the tools they need to get there. And their families don't always have the means for the PHYSICAL tools, especially those that are high,-quality that will last. I work hard to teach my students the critical thinking, collaboration, and inquiry-based skills they need to face their future in high school and beyond with confidence and promise!
With YOUR help, I can also provide them with the physical tools to get them there. This project would provide each AVID student in my upcoming 7th grade classes with a high-quality interactive notebook that will last them for the 2 years they spend with me. They will use this for notes, tracking their GPA/grades, setting goals, & much more! They will also get a binder and dividers to keep track of their lose papers and graded work from all of their classes.
