I have 11 creative, active, and curious students! Each of these students comes to first grade from small towns and farms throughout the county to a small school which houses preschool through 12th grade students in rural South Dakota.
Although my students are just seven years old, they take pride in keeping their materials well organized.
My students LOVE hands on and cooperative learning, so we have transitioned from desks to tables in our classroom this year. However, keeping classroom learning materials organized is more challenging for first graders with tables.
My Project
Seat sacks are the perfect tool to keep materials organized at tables for first graders! Each student in my classroom needs a seat sack to hold classroom learning materials such as writing folders, poetry notebooks, independent work folders, and math notebooks.
Not only do the seat sacks keep materials organized, but they also keep materials safe from potential damage.
Each child will have a seat sack made of sturdy fabric that stands up to first grade wear and tear and matches the colorful tables in our classroom. Seat sacks fit snugly on the back of the chair and keep classroom materials organized!
