Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Being in the Education field for eighteen years as a teacher, I come across many types of students. When I say types, I am talking about different learning abilities, learning styles, and of course personas. I always have a great rapport with my students. I allow them to express themselves verbally and through their work in the classroom.

Teaching the students I have, not the ones I want to have, has always been an important component to my relationship with my students.

They are funny, intelligent, outgoing, shy, some need more assistance than others and that is okay. My students are willing and able to pair/share their work with their classmates. They are not afraid to take constructive criticism from other classmates, and this makes my classroom friendly, positive, and an open learning environment. The students are not afraid to ask each other questions or to critique their writing. I love that my students are comfortable in my learning environment.

My Project

As a leader in my classroom, I need to be a role model to my students. If I have a messy workspace then so will they. I need to lead by example and stay organized so that my students can learn positivity and stay organized too.

Respect is key in my class, and positive influence is beneficial to my students.

Having positive posters and an organized class shows an inviting environment for the students. I want to make sure my students understand why being positive and organized are both steps to success.

Staying organized is a win-win with my students.
