All students need to know the basics of organizing their own work along with their own data. To organize a binder in the beginning of the year they are setting standards that they need to meet. They are preparing for high school and College. Being organized with the use of binders and tabs is a key component for success so students are able to analyze their own data and work. When my students move on from my class, I want them to have learned that being able to organize and set goals is one way to succeed. Chaos has never done anyone any good at being successful. Organization and taking responsibilty for their own data helps them fulfill their goals in my class and in their future.
