My Project
My students LOVE playing board games, which is awesome because there are SO MANY life skills they can practice by playing games!! Communication, patience, frustration tolerance, and honesty are just a few of the skills they can work on while playing a game - and even better, relationship skills when they're paired with someone they might not like! We teach all of our students: You don't have to be friends with everyone, but you have to be kind, ALWAYS!
We were lucky to receive funding for a previous project that gave us many new games, and now we need a home for them that looks organized and inviting!
We also have LOTS of books that aren't organized very well. Having new shelves like these would allow us to organize them in a better way and take up MUCH LESS space, leaving more room for kids to regulate or complete work!
