As the school counselor, I provide social and emotional support for a variety of reasons and challenges to students in kindergarten through 5th grade. It is important that I have a space that feels inviting and safe, so kids feel comfortable coming to see me, sharing their thoughts, and seeing help. This project will provide tools to help create a more effective school counseling space for my students. The acoustic panels will help ensure confidentiality, and the comfortable kid-friendly seating and therapeutic sand tray will provide a better experience for all students.
