My Students

Do you remember getting your first apartment, and needing just about everything? The building I teach at is closing and moving to modulars in a central location. My new classroom has no shelving or storage. To an elementary teacher, this is a necessity.

Currently I teach Kindergarten in a district located in one of the poorest counties in Kansas.

Despite the difficulties facing my students they have a love for learning and a staff that would do anything to help them succeed. Most importantly my students love sharing their daily work and art with their parents. I am looking for a way to keep their work organized to better share and create communication at home.

My Project

I am requesting the storage cubby system to provide storage for my students art supplies and communication folders. Throughout the day my students will continually use the cubby system to store away their daily work. It will be such a time saver for my students to be able to store away their supplies and not have the distractions at their desks. Through the years I have had many scissor and marker experiments when I turn the other direction. It will be nice to not have to explain a new haircut or marked up jeans. It is funny what Kindergarten and First Graders will do, but they can do it so quickly.

Your help towards my project will be appreciated immensely.

Daily time savers are so important to any elementary teacher. The cubby storage system will be this to me, as storage is a concern when moving to a new location.
