Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a first-year teacher, I want to create a welcoming, engaging, and positive environment for my students to learn in. I would like to add differentiated seating in my classroom to enhance their learning abilities. Coming back from a year of learning online, it is important for these students to have hands-on learning. Therefore, I want to incorporate organized bins for student centers. Also, as a new teacher, I need to build my library up. I have very few books and they are not organized by level how I would like. I want to create a relaxing, engaging library corner for it to be a spot that attracts students to want to be.

These students have come into the school year ready and excited to learn in a classroom where the sky is the limit.

These "firsties" deserve a classroom that is organized and where they can all learn in a way that fits them best.

My Project

The circuit will allow me to make creative bulletin boards for my classroom to create a fun, positive environment. It will allow me to label bins around my classroom to stay organized and to make it easier for students to find what they are looking for. The circuit will also allow me to label students' supplies and create projects/cards for students. The circuit can be used in so many ways in the classroom.

By creating an organized classroom that provides option and additional resources for students will allow for higher achievement.

The differentiated seating will allow my students who can't sit still and/or my standers, have a seating option. As a new teacher, I have been seeking manipulatives and wanting to create a library that students attract to. Adding Magna-tiles to my manipulatives area will allow students to explore and express themselves. Adding a better source of books and library seating will attract students to want to go to the library corner more.
