My Students

My classroom is filled with eager fi year olds who are ready to come and learn everyday!

Our school is located in a small rural community.

We are a Title One school and most of our students receive free or reduced priced lunch. Many of these students do not have simple school supplies at home. To have their "own" supplies at school is very exciting to many of these eager five year olds.

My Project

My students will be able to learn how to take care of their own school supplies and to take responsibility for their area. I will be able to differentiate their reading books and have them keep books at their level in their chair pockets. This will save us valuable time during the precious school day looking for our "just right" book.

Any donation towards my project will give my students their own personal space to organize their school supplies and take responsibility for their belongings.

I feel this is a very valuable lesson for my kindergartners to learn and it will help prepare them for first grade and beyond.
