Help me give my students binders, dividers, and colored paper to make getting organized exciting! Give online students more interaction with a whiteboard that will work with tech tools.
Students see me for speech and language therapy. Some are working on speech sounds, others on understanding and using language, and still others on problem solving and organization. Students may also have additional barriers to learning including cognitive impairment, learning disability, attention disorders, or autism spectrum disorder.
Sometimes just having everything in the right place and being able to find it again is all that's needed for success.
My students need to build confidence and independence to become successful at school. Colorful paper and dividers can make a binder a powerful tool for a student who may have difficulty with reading, organization, attention, and task completion.
My Project
Middle school and high school learners need to be organized to succeed in school. Students with language and/or attention disorders need extra help that we can practice during speech therapy sessions. Visual cues can be a powerful tool for my students. Having sturdy binders, page protectors, colored paper, and dividers will help them find their assignments and get them turned in each day!
Organization = Success and Smiles!
Being organized increases student independence and confidence so they can stay on task, find what they need to finish homework, study for a test, or monitor progress toward finishing a big project. A white board will provide visual cues in the speech room for better direction following and can be used with the document camera or OSMO for online learners.
