Organized Equipment Makes for an Organized Team

Help me give my students equipment to properly store our sport supplies and teach the team how to set up and take down the system as well as a way to track points in a scrimmage.

My Students

Volleyball is a new sport at our school. We are trying to build the program from the ground up. Because the sport is not required in middle school, the resources for building the team are non-existent. We need basic equipment to practice and improve enough to eventually compete in matches with other, already developed, middle school teams.

The athletes are eager young ladies and very passionate.

They are dedicated to mastering the basic skills of the game. The program we offer is unique in that is it inclusive for any student who wants to join and learn the game. This allows students to join at any level and build their skills, without discouraging them with "cuts" from the team. We embrace their differences and have our more advanced students take on leadership roles to aid their teammates in developing skills.

The athletes are a diverse group of students from various backgrounds that come to practice and work together as a team. They share the love of the game and the joy of playing.

My Project

Our team has very little resources when it comes to purchasing necessary equipment. We cannot afford to purchase a new net system, however, we do possess a set of donated poles and nets that the players will learn to set up, take down, and store properly.

These project items will allow us to successfully and effectively store our equipment as well as teach the team cooperation in setting up and taking down the net.

The scoreboard will allow us to track scoring during scrimmages and allow us coaches to determine which teammates play best together to both develop and strengthen players based on scoring results.

Every little piece of equipment we can gather builds our program and the team's confidence in the program. Through your donations, we can acquire more equipment to continue to lay the foundation of the newly created team and inspire our players to be partners and leaders.
