I am a Speech-Language Pathologist working with special needs students in diverse school. My students come from a variety of backgrounds and have a variety of special needs. They have disabilities ranging from developmental delays, to autism, to intellectual disabilities. All of my students have goals in many different areas and at many different levels.
My students are working to build skills in language, functional communication, speech sound production, and fluency.
Working with such a diverse population I need to have many different options to help them all stay engaged and make great gains.

My Project
These materials will not only help to keep me organized, but will help the students to have their own area to keep and be able to easily find their materials. Since I work with many different age groups the materials can all be kept separated by what is age or level appropriate. I will use them to keep seasonal materials fresh and ready to go when it is time for the lesson! It will allow me to take more materials into classrooms and keep them in great condition! Keeping things out of reach is also a great way to get them talking! Letting them see what's available, but needing to use their speech skills to get it!
