This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are motivated to learn and enjoy coming to school. Despite having learning differences, they work hard in our small groups to develop the necessary skills to be successful in reading, writing and math. They benefit from small group instruction that is tailored to their individual needs. The materials in this project include a Teachers Pay Teachers card which will be used to purchase supplemental games and reinforcement activities to be used in groups.
Our time together is crucial and our work space is small, which means it is very important that the students are organized and responsible for their materials.
Keeping track of materials and developing ownership helps to foster executive functioning skills and confidence. The laminating supplies, storage items, and folders will help the students organize their binders and keep track of their materials.
