This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My TK students are eager and motivated to learn! They have such energy and enthusiasm, and I try to provide a classroom that allows them to learn in the best environment possible!

Each child has unique needs and learning styles.

Our community is located in a low-income area of southern San Diego. As English language learners, my students need an environment where they can grow and explore.

As do all children, my young students need the opportunity to make choices about their learning.

My Project

Students work best when they are given opportunities to choose. I am looking for two rugs to set up learning centers in my classroom. These rugs will allow children to learn while they move on the floor and keep centers separate from others.

Children are learning independence by self-selecting materials, and responsibility when they keep them organized.

I am asking for bookshelves to keep materials organized in a way students can find what they need and help keep our room neat.

We are learning in a flexible seating environment. Having stations or centers around the room is a great way for students to find out what they enjoy learning about the most!
