My Project

As I come to the end of my first year in a new classroom, I am noticing how much students (and admittedly, myself) struggle to keep their materials organized. If students next year all have binders, they will all have a place to organize their materials. Especially using divider tabs, students will be able to keep their novel materials, vocabulary, grammar, writing, and SEL materials all in one central place. Students will know where to find information if they need to revisit material from previous learning.

Students need to learn organizational skills in order to be successful in all aspects of life.

Middle school students are learning how to become independent learners. For the first time, they are expected to keep track of all of their work and assignments. Without adequate materials, students are set up for failure. It is harder for students to hone these skills later in life, and I want them to start building good habits now.
