Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work in an urban school district where many of my students are coming from families living in poverty. All students within the district are receiving free breakfast and free lunch during the school day. I want to be able to give my students a welcoming and loving environment. I want my students to not only leave my classroom having learned the academics, but also life skills. I would do anything to give my students anything and everything I can to help them succeed to their fullest potential.

My Project

I am a first year teacher and filling a classroom with everything that is essential is very costly. I want to give my students the opportunity to learn important organizational skills. Through the use of this mail center and pocket chart they will be given the opportunity to be responsible for their own work.

Responsibility is a vital life skill.

I want to be able to give my current 22 students and all my future students to come the chance to have a skill they will use for the rest of their lives. Please help me make this possible for my students.
