Our students were very excited when they first saw the materials. When the pencils and STEM toys arrived, the classroom was filled with smiles and excitement. The students were eager to start using them right away.\r\n\r\nWe have been using the pencils during our daily writing time. Students are practicing writing stories, personal experiences, and classroom assignments. Using pencils helps them focus on forming their letters and improving their handwriting while also building important fine motor skills.\r\n\r\nThe STEM toys have also been a big hit in our classroom. Students enjoy using them to build different structures and explore their creativity. One special moment was when students worked together to build towers and small creations while discussing their ideas with classmates. It allowed them to think critically, solve problems, and learn how to work as a team.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, they were very excited and curious. Many of them immediately started sharing ideas about what they wanted to build or write. Their enthusiasm made the classroom feel even more energetic and positive.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue using these resources in both writing and STEM activities. Students will continue to develop their writing skills while working on new STEM challenges, where they design, build, and test their ideas. These activities will help them develop as creative thinkers, problem solvers, and confident learners.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your generous support and for helping make these learning experiences possible for our students.","fullyFundedDate":1772578753419,"projectUrl":"project/pencils-to-help-my-students-become-bette/9994533/","projectTitle":"Pencils to Help My Students Become Better Writers.","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Castañeda","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9070847_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1704649465610","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9070847"},{"teacherId":9070847,"projectId":9639743,"letterContent":"Technology in our classroom isn't just about screens; it's about access, engagement, and personalization. The new devices allow students to practice skills at their own pace, receive instant feedback, and explore concepts in interactive ways that traditional materials simply can't provide.\r\n\r\nFor example, instead of passively reading about a science concept, students can watch simulations, manipulate virtual models, and test their ideas in real time. In reading and math, adaptive programs adjust to each student's level, offering extra support where needed and enrichment when they're ready to move ahead. This keeps students challenged but not frustrated, a balance that is incredibly important for confidence and growth.\r\n\r\nTechnology also helps students collaborate. They can work together on shared documents, present their thinking creatively through multimedia projects, and build communication skills that will serve them well beyond our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1765223079185,"projectUrl":"project/please-help-my-students-appreciate-the-l/9639743/","projectTitle":"Please Help My Students Appreciate the Love of Reading","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Castañeda","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9070847_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1704649465610","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9070847"},{"teacherId":9070847,"projectId":9713838,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generous donation and for the joy it has brought into our classroom. From the moment your contribution arrived, it was met with wide eyes, eager hands, and an energy that is hard to capture on paper—but I will do my best.\r\n\r\nThanks to your support, our classroom has been transformed into a space of creativity, collaboration, and discovery. The students have thoroughly enjoyed every moment spent building with the Legos, carefully assembling dinosaur pieces by piece, and designing a vibrant flower garden that has quickly become a source of pride. Each activity has sparked curiosity and encouraged teamwork, problem-solving, and imaginative thinking—skills that extend far beyond the classroom walls.\r\n\r\nThe Legos, in particular, have become powerful tools for learning. What may look like simple play is actually rich with lessons in engineering, mathematics, and communication. Students eagerly plan, build, revise, and rebuild, all while learning the value of persistence and cooperation. The dinosaur assemblies have inspired thoughtful conversations about science and history, while also challenging students to follow instructions, think critically, and celebrate small successes. The flower garden has added a refreshing element of responsibility and care, reminding students that growth—both academic and personal—takes patience and attention.\r\n\r\nWhat makes your donation especially meaningful is not just the materials themselves, but the opportunities they provide. Your generosity has created moments of genuine excitement and engagement, where learning feels natural and joyful. It has allowed students with different strengths and interests to shine, often in ways that traditional lessons cannot always capture. In these moments, confidence grows, friendships form, and a love of learning is reinforced.\r\n\r\nYour support has made a lasting impact on our classroom environment. The students frequently ask when they can return to these activities, and they speak about them with enthusiasm and pride. These experiences have helped foster a positive classroom culture where creativity is encouraged, effort is celebrated, and learning is something students look forward to each day.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of my students and myself, thank you again for your kindness and generosity. Your donation has enriched our classroom in meaningful ways, and we are truly grateful for the difference you have made. Please know that your support is appreciated every single day—often accompanied by smiles, laughter, and a few very serious Lego construction plans.","fullyFundedDate":1766085201905,"projectUrl":"project/mindcraft-building-the-future-with-stem/9713838/","projectTitle":"MindCraft: Building the Future with STEM","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Castañeda","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9070847_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1704649465610","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9070847"},{"teacherId":1904084,"projectId":9771063,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support in funding our classroom headphones.
