Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Any item that allows all students to partake in more instructional time is money well spent. An organized classroom can help improve students’ learning experience in several ways. One, it can provide a positive and stimulating environment for learning. When classrooms are organized, it is easier for students to find materials and resources. This frees up time to continue engaged learning rather than searching for items. In addition, when classrooms are well organized, there is less clutter and fewer distractions, which can help students focus on learning. Furthermore, when classrooms are organized in a way that is logical and easy to navigate, it can help reduce stress levels for both teachers and students. Teaching students organizational skills while in school will also help them become confident in organizing things in their lives. This is a life skill that will help students in a more effective way to be contributing members of society. I teach at a Title One school which means over 85% of my students live below the poverty line. Having a place for each student to house their precious belongings will help them have a sense of pride in taking care of what little they have. Lastly, I am always in constant need of headphones. Many of my students use interactive programs. Their learning is enhanced by the ability to hear and speak while using the interactive programs. Receiving both the headphones and cubbies would be a tremendous blessing. Thank you for considering helping with my projects.
