My Project

My kids are hard working and love hands on projects. This is how they learn best. Unfortunately, when my school was built, storage wasn't a high priority. I have supplies busting out of my closet and in baskets on the floor under my kids tables.

We need a bookcase to keep our supplies easily available and out of the floor.

Baskets on the floor aren't safe and don't last long. They end up as footstools without the kids even realizing what they are doing. I have had to repurchase baskets several times this year. I also have to spend valuable time digging through my over crowded closet looking for supplies needed for projects. Having more storage area will help with finding what we need more quickly.

Being the only math and science teacher for 6th grade means I need to be very organized. I have weekly meetings, conferences, school events, as well as units to keep track of. My kids are always asking what is happening in the week or what we are learning next. Have a giant wall calendar would help with all of this so much.
