This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
The storage shelves will benefit our class as we use them throughout the day. The benefits of these storage units are that they can be closed and not have supplies rolling around. This allows us to store art supplies, teaching materials, and more within the storage units and bring out the materials at the appropriate time.
The bookshelf will house our new Lending Library and Book Bag program.
We received over a hundred books that students can take home in the book bags provided, but we don't have a place to store them. The shelves will make them accessible and easy for students to pick out!
