This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a special education teacher in a low-income/high-poverty school district, I am aware that my students are faced with social, emotional and educational challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the challenges they may face, I want to keep things positive and engaging for the students.

This means that I am constantly trying to come up with creative ways to enhance my lessons, because of this, I am in need of storage solutions to keep these tools accessible and organized.

As a teacher, I find myself continuously working on improving the students' self-esteem, perseverance, and academic abilities in a fun and creative way. The students are energetic, creative, and interested in learning all they can.

My Project

The items that I am requesting would enhance my daily instruction dramatically. I would love to be able to incorporate more choice in my room and this will make the options more visible. The organization will make it much simpler for students to gain independence and make more choices in the activities that they will complete. This will also allow for a smooth transition between subjects knowing that every item will have a designated area! This will allow for more interactive lessons with small groups while other students are able to review and enhance their learning on the subject at hand!
