Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love my students and their personalities. We are a low-income school and simple things like school supplies, are hard to come by for our kids so we rely on the kindness of strangers. We teach students not only about the academic skills they need to succeed, but we teach about life skills they need like organization and good hygiene. I already know what I will be using our materials for! Each and every one of them has a special place and role in our classroom. The laptop standing desk helps students practice their presentation skills and the teacher moves around the class. Being a class of 38 students, the organization is key in maximizing time and keeping students' minds focused and ready to learn. It will provide easy access to materials they use every day. For example, being a math class, we use a lot of visual cues and support like dry-erase boards so the markers and answer boards will be an everyday item used in our class.
