Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I want to start my new students off organized and ready for the whole year. If we come in the first day and have organizational strategies and tools already in place, it will the students be more successful learners. As an AVID school, one of our school wide goals is organization and these resources can help my students a great deal.
Most of my students do not get the support at home from their families to teach them the importance of organization.
I want to help my students help show their families how easy it can be. My students would benefit from having name plates with skills that support their learning. Velcro dots help my students move their name tags with them when they come back to small group support with me and will still have their resources handy. The colored paper and cardstock will help my students have colored anchor charts readily available and easy to find in their binders. The laminating sheets will help preserve resources that they use frequently. Finally, the mesh bags will organize and make station activities easy to access throughout the year. I know that these small things will make big impacts on my students.
