This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students come to school every day ready to give and do their absolute best. And their best is all that I could ask for!
The students I teach are inquisitive, creative and hard-working.
When faced with challenging math problems, they face them head-on! They look for patterns and relationships between the numbers; they apply previously taught skills to help them solve the problems. They persevere and encourage each other. They use math drawings all the time. They are Mathematicians!
My Project
My students have been working so hard throughout the year on their math fluency. Many students are so far ahead and we don't have a designated space to house the next sets of fluency booklets on our previously donated organizer, so we need another one. This is a good problem to have.
I am excited about the progress they are making with their fluency and would like to reduce any obstacles that may slow them down from their continued success.
Having another organizer will allow for double the amount of fluency booklets to be readily available to the students as they need.
