Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am honored to teach a wonderful population of students. A majority of the students are English Language Learners (ELL), and my school serves as a host school for refugees coming from various places. I look forward to every day with my students, embracing the wonderful differences and experiences they each bring. I want my students to know they are valued, loved, and safe when they come into the classroom.

My Project

The days of lost papers and disorganized desks are over! This is the first year that I have used binders rather than various notebooks to keep student work tidy, and it has made a world of difference.

My kiddos are able to take ownership of their work and keep their supplies organized.

My students don't have to spend time looking for the right notebook or wondering where they placed their scissors. Using binders, binder dividers, and individual pencil pouches have given my students ownership and pride over their supplies and have helped them be successful with their work.

I look forward to helping my students learn organization skills that will benefit them for years to come. These colorful binders and pencil pouches are a step in the right direction to help them learn valuable skills and create great organizational habits!
