Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are active learners and need easy access to their materials without disturbing their classmates. I would like my students to be independent in getting their owns books and supplies, but currently do not have the organizational materials in my classroom to achieve this goal.

My students come from homes in which most families struggle to have their most basic needs met.

They come to school to learn, feel loved, appreciated, and valued. My students always have a smile on their faces and love to learn! They are eager learners and will go out of their way to help others. My school services over 900 students, most of which face hardships at home on a daily basis. They come to school to forget about their daily lives and strive to be the best they can be.

My Project

My students will use the requested seat sacks to hold their books and school supplies, which will give them easy access and promote independence. The shelving and storage will hold papers and other supplies which will allow the students to individually pick up and drop off their work. This is important so that I will be able to take small groups of children to work with me, without being interrupted. This will ensure optimal learning time, which my students so desperately need.

Donations to this project will help to organize my students' materials and promote independence while gathering supplies necessary to complete a task.

The requested storage items will allow my students to get their materials without disrupting the learning of other students, which also allows me precious time to work in small groups with other students without being interrupted.
