I am a first-year teacher for 23 5th grade students! These students deserve the best classroom that I can provide for them!
Every student should be set up for success and that is what I intend to provide for my students.
My students are from the Manchester area where at least half of the students are from low-income families. These students deserve a bright cheerful place to come every single day! Some of these students may not have the best home life, or may not be given the opportunity to have new school supplies. I hope that with this project, I can supply my students with things that they need to be successful. My students work very hard and I hope that with these new supplies, it will be even more motivation to succeed this school year!
I am hoping that with this fifth-grade classroom, I can set them up for success when moving onto middle school. They need real-life strategies to help them not only be successful in school but in life as well.

I would love to get rid of the desks in my room and switch to tables, but that would require bins to provide the students with space to store their belongings!

Along with the organization, my classroom does not have a good working pencil sharpener! I would love it if we could have a functioning pencil shapener to help the students be set up for success.
A lot of the students that I work with do not have enough money for school supplies. This is why I wish to also provide them each with a folder to keep all of their work in!
