This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I have amazing students. They are on a variety of levels and come from various backgrounds.
Many of my inner-city students don't come to class with the necessary equipment, or they are often misplaced along the way.
This causes them much stress during the day. I am hoping to have my classroom as a home base for their supplies to keep them organized and prepared. With this foundation, they will have one less thing to worry about during their day.
My Project
Being in the resource classroom, my students get individualized work on a daily basis for reading and math. Because no two students are alike; their assignments different from child to child. By having these bins, these children will have access to differentiated work in reading and math. By having this organization system, students will be able to quickly and effortlessly get started on their assignments without looking around the room.
These bins will allow the children to know what and where their work is expected of them and they can rely on themselves to start and finish their school assignments.
