My Students

In our school, many of my students come from low-income households. As a result, it is very difficult for them to get resources for school. However, they are extremely inspired and curious about the science world around them, especially new chemistry knowledge and real-life chemistry examples. They all have imaginary and fantastic ideas on what they are taught and are eager to accomplish any activities including hands-on, problem solving, game-type, or research. Believe it or not, they are the future stars of STEM!

My target is to help my students develop different critical thinking and learning skills.

They use various instructional strategies and technologies such that they can connect whatever they learn from my chemistry classroom to their real-life world.

As a result, I would love to gather different teaching materials and learning supplies for them to use in class and cultivate their active participation and complete engagement in-class activities. In this way, my students can learn the best in my classroom and continue to develop full curiosity in the world of chemistry. I hope they will have a new vision that chemistry is not boring and challenging for them!

My Project

I have given many student-centered projects and worksheets and my students do the work using craft paper, line paper, graph paper, etc, so an electronic hole-puncher will be more convenient. Furthermore, my classes have many electronic devices used for educational purpose, but our lab has limited spots for charging, so charging station will be very helpful. Moreover, as we are in pandemic days, safety is number-one concern, so hand sanitizers and disinfecting wipes are a-must classroom supplies.

In an effective classroom with organization, comfort and safety is very important!

I wish my students would come to my classroom with the feeling of organization, comfort, and safety!
