Oral Language Development Through Hands-On Manipulatives

My Project

During the pandemic, our English Language Learners lost the opportunity to practice their oral language skills in a face-to-face setting. Not only that, many of our students have become more reluctant to speak out in class. This project will support both social emotional issues as well as language development. These items will provide concrete examples for students that are both fun and engaging. Working in small groups to regain confidence in speaking will support their learning in the classroom. By funding this project, you will be supporting over 140 language learners at Kihei Elementary!
