I have an incredible group of highly energetic, curious, and excited 6th graders. They really enjoy learning especially social studies and math. They love collaborating with their peers and learning in exciting hands-on ways.
There is a buzz about growth mindset in our classroom.
Our focus is having a growth mindset. My students know that the only thing they need to do is be better than their previous self. The tools on my wishlist will help us meet our goals by staying organized, having the materials we need to be successful, and having them opportunity to express themselves creatively.
My students love a challenge! They are goal and service oriented. They complete community service projects, serve the school as lunch workers, safety patrol, and have little buddies. They look for opportunities to serve others and make people feel special and valued.
My Project
This project will help my students to grow academically through the use of headphones which will help them access online tools. These tools focus on reading fluency, phonics, spelling, grammar, and math facts.
My students are working on setting goals and improving their reading fluency and accuracy.
The kitchen timers will help them partner up and coach each other in reading on a daily basis. The canvases and watercolors will help them foster creativity through artistic expression. The chair bands will help my students focus on that need to wiggle The remaining items are needed classroom supplies to stay organized and successful. Thank you for supporting my classroom!
