Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are from a big, diverse city, and each have a special education diagnosis with an IEP. Some have tough home situations and/or English is not the primary language spoken at home. They love to learn and I want them to stay motivated by keeping each one of them engaged. They deserve to have access to materials that continue to help learning stay fun and engaging. I believe they will be even more successful when they have access to items that help them stay on task.

My Project

These items will motivate my students to love learning even more and stay engaged with their work/interact with me and other students because they can talk about what they like. My students earn items after coming to my resource room and completing work a certain amount of times. Their faces light up when they see what they can choose from. I can only imagine what a positive impact these highly motivating items will have. They will also support self-confidence and self-esteem because they will be proud of themselves for earning what they have.
