Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My third graders are passionate readers who truly bring our classroom library to life. During independent reading time, you’ll find them curled up in cozy spots, lost in their stories—some whispering lines aloud, others giggling at funny moments. Now and then, a voice rings out: “I finished!” followed by a proud smile and an eager search for the next great book.

Our classroom library is loved to pieces—literally.

My students have devoured nearly every book on our shelves, and while their enthusiasm is inspiring, our worn collection can’t keep up with their growing appetite for reading. We need fresh, diverse, and exciting books that will spark curiosity, reflect their world, and keep their love of reading alive.

Your support will help us give our library the refresh it deserves and ensure that every child can discover a story that speaks to them. Together, we can turn each “I finished!” into the start of a brand-new reading adventure.
