Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
These kindergartners are eager and excited to learn, especially when given the right tools to help foster curiosity and authentic learning. For some of these students, it is their first time in school, and building the right foundation for them is of the utmost importance.
Kinders can code, collaborate globally, and make an impact on their community with the right tools and support.
We also need to make sure our students are emotionally and physically balanced. With 77% of our school ELLs, we must give them every chance to be successful. With your help, we can give these students the opportunities and tools they need to succeed.
My Project
The classroom should be a welcoming environment! This goes for parents as well. For this project, I am trying to encourage my hard working parents to come into the classroom with a warm cup of coffee.
A little bit of warm caffeine can go a long way.
With a coffee maker ready, some creamer (non single use), a nice mini fridge for fresh creamer, and some cups, parents will feel welcome in the class. The cart will be used to store the coffee maker so it can be easily stored. Also the surge protector will make sure everyone is safely plugged in.
With this project, I hope to build school and classroom community by reaching out to my students' parents with a welcoming environment.
