"Execution, not Excuses"-Everyone in my classroom can learn they just have to be willing to try.

My students are grades 9-12 in an inner city school in Massachusetts.

The High School serves a diverse population that services students that have over 50% on free or reduced lunch. In my classroom I work diligently to adapt my teaching styles to meet the needs of the many students I have on Individual Education Plans and English Language Learners.

My Project

Our school was built in the 1960's. There is NO updated technology. We are trying to compete with the many new schools being built around us. The only technology currently provided to my classroom is an overhead projector. I want my notes to come alive. I want to really help address all of my visual learners and not only provide information but provide colorful pictures, video clips, research. I am a creative teacher and I know that through the use of an LCD projector my classroom atmosphere and student engagement will improve 150% percent.

Not only will I become a better teacher my students will become better learners.

They will open their eyes to all the information that is available to them. They will learn to not just rely on the text book but hear other people perspectives. Above all this donation would engage my learners in new and innovative ways in my classroom!
