My students need fresh and enticing new literature circle lesson activities in the form of comprehension cards, practice cards and cubes.

My Students

I teach an amazing third grade class full of collaborating, inspiring, and very hard working scholars that will be contributing members to our society in the 21st century. I am preparing them to be college bound and to problem solve real world issues.

Our school was newly built with our student population coming from various schools within the community.

With that comes a large challenge of assimilation and adaptation to new procedures, history, and rules. That being said, I am excited to see their academic and social growth through the year.

My Project

Having these new literature and writing resources of games, main idea die, prompt cards, and class set of books will increase my classes' desire and enthusiasm to persevere in their reading and writing development.

Daily our class has literature circles where we utilize various books, and writing activities to further our reading and writing knowledge.

The class set of new books and teacher resources, such as the main idea cards and die, will make our small groups more exciting and challenging in our reading comprehension. Offering a variety of different lessons to my students allow them an array of different reading strategies and techniques for better comprehension development.
