it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students come from diverse backgrounds and have a wide range of needs, which is why I am requesting three sets of books to support two key initiatives.
SAT Preparation for Math Students: As a math teacher, I see many of my students excel in class but struggle with standardized tests like the SAT.
To help bridge this gap and give them the best chance to succeed, I am requesting Kaplan SAT prep books. These resources will provide targeted support to help my students achieve proficiency on the test, giving them a stronger foundation for college readiness.
AP Human Geography Support for Ninth Graders: Some of my ninth-grade students are taking AP Human Geography, and I want to ensure they’re fully prepared to succeed. I would like to provide a test prep book to their teacher, equipping them with the materials needed to guide these students effectively and help them reach their highest potential on the AP exam.
Promoting Black Excellence with the Black Student Union: As a sponsor for our Black Student Union, I want to inspire my students by highlighting stories of Black excellence and the journeys that paved the way. I believe autobiographies of Black leaders will help students understand and appreciate the achievements of those who came before them, serving as a source of motivation and pride.
